Dublin Ohio (April 18, 2012) — Metro Data Center, LLC, a new, central Ohio provider of “High Tier” data center facilities and managed services, announced today that the City of Dublin has entered into contract with them as their Data Center Solution Provider.

Kopp, and Niles Overly, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Metro Data Center, have 30 years of business experience focused on providing large scale infrastructure and managed services to businesses around the world. They now bring business solutions to the SMB markets within Dublin and central Ohio.
“We are pleased to be the main point of presence for the DubLink network with the ability to meet the primary data needs of the City of Dublin,” said Overly. “We expect that other municipalities and government entities will be interested in similar solutions as infrastructure becomes more expensive in their current locations.”
The City of Dublin currently has two IT staff members located at the Metro Data Center TechDEC in space dedicated to fostering business growth.
“Co-locating data with the City of Dublin staff at the Metro Data Center and TechDEC is cost effective and just makes sense for us,” said Bob Schaber, Network Operations Manager, City of Dublin. “We looked at our customer expectations, access to fiber, the critical nature of our data and its use, and decided to move our primary Network Operations and Data Warehousing there to ensure we could meet those expectations.”
